Waiver and Release of Liability

In consideration for my use of the pool, I agree to release, indemnify, and forever discharge and hold harmless North Raleigh Swim Club, Inc., its agents, employees, officers, directors, managers, members and partners, including its successors and assigns (collectively, “NRSC”), from any and all liability, claims, demands or damages of whatever kind of nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from my use of the pool, including without limitation, costs and expenses such as attorneys fees and court costs.

I understand and acknowledge that by signing this agreement, I am discharging NRSC from any liability or claim that I may have against NRSC with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death or property damage that may result from my use of the pool or use of the pool by myself, my spouse, children or guests, regardless of whether such liability or claims are founded in whole or in part upon any alleged negligence or gross negligence of NRSC.

I understand and acknowledge that swimming and other pool activities carry with them significant and serious risks of personal injury, death and/or damage to my personal property. In addition, I understand that participation in swimming pool use involves activities incidental thereto, including, but not limited to, the possible reckless conduct of other participants. I hereby expressly assume these risks and release NRSC from all liability for injury, illness, death, or property damage resulting from use of the pool.

I understand and acknowledge that I have a personal responsibility to follow any safety rules and procedures established by NRSC and that are associated normally with swimming and other pool use activities.

By submitting your membership registration, I warrant and represent that I am at least eighteen (18) years of age, am under no legal disability, have never been declared legally incompetent, can read and comprehend the English language, and that I have carefully read this agreement, know the contents of it, and agree to the same as my own free act and deed.

Q: What are the pool hours?

Hours may vary depending on time of year. Please visit our Calendar page for the latest schedule.

Q: What are the pool rules and health policies?

Q: Can members bring guests to the pool?

Yes. Guests are welcome and encouraged to visit our club as long as they are accompanied by a club member during their time of visit. Daily guest fees are $3.00 per non-family guest and/or $5.00 per guest family. Please visit our Guest Policy page for additional information.

Q: How do club members rent the swim club for parties?

Members can rent out a portion of the club for birthday parties, pool parties or other special occasions or events. Please visit our Cabana Rental page to make your reservations today.

Q: What is the role of the lifeguards?

The team of lifeguards are responsible for the general safety members and guests, as well as ensuring the highest water quality in the pool. They are on the lifeguard stand from the top of each hour with a 10 minute break each hour to test the water quality and answer questions from members and guests. When the whistle blows at 10 till the top of the hour, all children under the age of 18 must exit the water for a break. Adults are allowed to be in the pool during these breaks. The role of the lifeguards is NOT to serve as your baby-sitter. Inappropriate behavior from children and adults will not be tolerated. Parents of young children must keep a close watch on their children in and around the pool grounds.

Q: How can I volunteer to support the club?

The club is totally supported and run by volunteers. Each member is asked to use their talents to help improve our facilities. Volunteers are needed from everything from mowing the grass to helping on various social event committees to help enhance the total pool experience. Email us to inquire how you can get involved.

Q: What is the process to use the grills at the pool?

To use the grills, begin by selecting either the gas or charcoal grill. If you use the gas grill, check to see that their is enough gas in the tank, turn the tank on and light as indicated on the grill. If you are using charcoal grill, bring matches a bag of charcoal and light accordingly. Once lit, please make sure to stay close to the grill to ensure the safest outcome with fellow club members.

Q: Are glass containers allowed in the pool area?

No glass of any kind is allowed in the pool area. If you have refreshments that are in a glass container, please exit the grounds and pour or transfer your contents into a plastic cup or container to bring into the pool area.

Q: How do I reserve a table or chairs around the pool area?

Chairs, tables and loungers are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Q: What are the definitions for family, couple, single and children at the North Raleigh Swim Club?

* Family: no more than two (2) adults and any dependent children under the age of 22 who the adults have legal guardianship for and are residing together as a single family/ financial household unit.
* Couple: two (2) adults residing together as one family/ financial household unit.
* Single person: one (1) adult who is 18 years of age or older.
* Children: Children younger than 12 years cannot come to the pool alone, they must be accompanied by individual 18 years or older.

Q: How do I complete the registration process after I already paid for the membership online?
